Richolite is a serpentine from a formation near Silver City, New Mexico. Stone from this formation was used for the first known masonry arch in the Americas by the Zuni. This area is also a Zuni cultural site as well as a big horn sheep breeding ground. The drastically contrasted stone is hand shaped and polished in our store in Moab, UT. The pendant comes hung on dogbane cord, hand twisted from plants we harvest in our wetlands. Made using the same technique the natives did so many years ago.
